Part Deux

I don't know - I mean in theory I like Beyoncé. She's pretty, she can sing... but hearing her sing the song from Dreamgirls, made me pity her. Jennifer Hudson stole all her thunder, and here she is up here trying to be great, and it just wasn't anything special... so I pitied her more after the performance.

Look at this trio - Nelly Furtado, Natasha Beddingfield and 1/15 of the Pussy Cat Dolls. I guess they couldn't fit all those girls on stage... or probably no one even noticed they were missing...

Last up... I had said earlier this evening, before this performance that Christina Aguilera was "Super talented, an artist with a great tool who knows how to use it. As good as Whitney before she was cracked out" and then she gets up and sings a song that I couldn't understand a SINGLE word to, cause she's too busy belting it out. I am to understand it was tribute to James Brown… I don’t think it’s a tribute if no one knows what you’re singing. Enunciation... look it up.

MY Grammy review...

Ok so I don't know if you are watching the Grammy's right now, but I think this year's show is pretty interesting... or odd... not sure which one wins. Here are some observations I've made:

The Police: Who CARES? I don't know if anyone missed them when they were gone, but here they are, opening the show. I would think they would have opened with something BIG like JT... but what do I know?

In the car Brendan and I were talking. I said I started to appreciated John Mayer... he said that he didn't really like him, and compared him to James Blunt... I can't stand James Blunt, I don't think he can sing and his song "Beautiful" is like NAILS ON A CHALKBOARD for me... So for the record, the guy on the left is TALENTED the guy on the right has as much talent as any drunken guy with a fake accent performing in your local pub.

Next up I'd like to say HA! to my Dad who said the Dixie Chicks wouldn't win anything... they're up to 2 awards (including record of the year) as I'm typing this. The lead singer Natalie Maines dyed her hair brown... not really digging it, but whatever, she's golden in my eyes... and she's married to Nathan Petrelli from Heroes. I wish I was married to a man that could fly.

more coming soon...

TGIF

I like weekends, even though I work - it's a different atmosphere, and my assistant is here, so I can chill a bit.

Tonight is Finegan Friday - be there or don't... whatever, not my bar, I don't care! Max had been bugging me to go, Dan and my sister haven't been yet so off we go. Not going to be a late night though, I'm teaching a stamping and embossing class tomorrow at 1pm and have to open the store at 10am...

My friend Allie finally got her kick butt website up and running: www.allisoncordner.com
If you browse through you see me a couple of times, but more importantly you see her amazing work!
